# MCP overview

> The hosted Superdata MCP endpoint, transport, authentication, and metering model.

Superdata provides a hosted, stateless Streamable HTTP MCP server at:

```text theme={null}
https://api.superdata.so/mcp
```

When you call this endpoint directly, send raw requests with:

```http theme={null}
Accept: application/json, text/event-stream
```

AI clients interpret your request and prefer a matching direct tool. They can
fall back to capability discovery and generic execution for unfamiliar
operations. The service enforces authentication, mutation confirmation,
request limits, and credit accounting before calling the intelligence
provider.

## Capabilities

* OAuth 2.1 authorization for compatible interactive clients
* Bearer API keys for non-interactive clients
* Compact direct tools for company, people, and LinkedIn post intelligence
* Progressive discovery for unfamiliar and newly released operations
* Structured metadata and execution outputs
* Bounded response sizes with truncation reporting
* Per-credential rate limits and global concurrency protection
* One-credit metering for successful or no-match execution, with failed reservations restored

## Current tools

* Typed company, people, and LinkedIn profile/company post tools
* Scoped catalog access through progressive discovery, inspection, and execution
* `superdata_search_capabilities`
* `superdata_get_capability`
* `superdata_call`
