# Similar Companies API

> Get related LinkedIn company IDs from a company website or domain.

## Get related companies

```http theme={null}
GET https://api.superdata.so/v1/company/similar
```

Matches the website domain to a company and returns IDs listed as similar pages in the matched company record. These are related LinkedIn company IDs, not scored lookalike profiles or verified competitors. Use a Bearer key with `companies:read` or `mcp:use` scope. A completed request consumes one credit.

| Parameter | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `url` | URL or domain | Company website, such as `https://www.microsoft.com` or `microsoft.com` |
| `company_id` | positive integer | Existing company ID, supported for compatibility; provide only one parameter |

```bash theme={null}
curl --get 'https://api.superdata.so/v1/company/similar' \
  --data-urlencode 'url=https://www.microsoft.com' \
  --header 'Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY'
```

The `data.similar_linkedin_company_ids` array can be empty when no similar pages are present. The response also includes `request_id` and `meta.credits_used`. Invalid or duplicate query parameters return `400` before provider work. A domain with no exact company match returns `404`. See [errors and limits](/reference/errors-and-limits) for other status codes.
